Abstract. Convective self-aggregation is an atmospheric phenomenon seen in numerical simulations a radiative convective equilibrium framework thought to be informative of some aspects the behavior real-world convection deep tropics. We impose background mean wind flow on convection-permitting through surface flux calculation effort understand how asymmetry imposed by influences propagation aggregated structures convection. The show that, with imposing flow, organized system propagates direction but slows down compared what pure advection would suggest, and it eventually becomes stationary relative after 15 simulation days. termination arises from momentum flux, which acts as drag near-surface horizontal wind.
